The focus of STREETWALKER is to deliver an immersive, high-quality visual experience for the player. The game’s artistic direction is inspired by retro urban noir. It has a Cyberpunk or Grand Theft Auto feel but with in late 1970’s vibes.
As a solo developer, I struggled with the question of how to create the characters for this game. To tell the story I wanted to tell, I needed at least fifteen realistic, anatomically correct character models but didn’t have the time or budget to design each one from scratch.
In the end, I decided to license Daz3D models for their realism and versatility. Then, I customized each model and optimized them for the gameplay in Houdini before importing them into Unreal Engine 5.
The process of re-skinning and re-texturing the models to look and move beautifully in the game was tedious and it took me several years trying many different workflows before I settled on my latest methods. The converted characters in STREETWALKER now have many features similar to Epic’s Metahumans and other AAA-studio models, including realistic bending, jiggle physics and simulated hair.
Hi, I’m Pendavos, the creator of STREETWALKER and owner of Dark Erotic 3D. I’m a life-long artist and gamer who began my journey into the NSFW 18+ space in 2017. Back then, I started sex-modding Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim and turning it into what I believed was a more balanced fantasy adventure. It made sense that if you’re going to have fantasy violence in a video game, why not have explicit sex too?
Around the same time, I started making 3DX digital art and graphic novels. I also started learning how to 3D Model. To date, I’ve published 21 graphic novels and art collections on various platforms including Gumroad, Affect 3D, and Renderotica. My most popular storyline is the Book of Ba’el series.
In 2021, I also started creating indie NSFW 18+ games for PC. My first game was NYMPH-O a fantasy, hide-and-seek game about a horny satyr and seven beautiful nymphs. If you haven’t played NYMPH-O yet, you can get it here. STREETWALKER is my second video game and is still in production.
Adult 18+ game developers face intense challenges when it comes to creating games that their fans love. They are frequently banned by game platforms, publishers won’t fund them, and credit card companies often block payments to developers.
